Hello friends, Today i am going to share the 5 most popular tour places and plans of North Bengal. Here, i will discuss the destinations which will be covered in each tour plan, top tourist places you can visit and mode of transport.

TRANSPOTATION :

All these places can be reached both by Air and train reach New Jalpaiguri railway station first or by air reach Bag Dogra airport. From there take either a reserved cab or shared car to reach your destination.

 Generally, it will take around 3-5 hours to reach your destination from railway station or airport.

DARJEELING

The first tour plan will be a 3 days Darjeeling tour plan. Darjeeling is that the most famous hill station of West Bengal . At this place, you will find lush green tea gardens, some picturesque viewpoints, mouth-watering food and some famous eateries, the famous Himalayan Mountain railways which is a UNESCO world heritage site, and most importantly old colonial charm. Tiger Hill– The most famous place in Darjeeling to witness a spectacular sunrise.Batasia Loop- It is a train pathway surrounded by greeneries. Undoubtedly one of the most scenic places in Darjeeling.

Ghoom Monastery– An old Buddhist shrine and most popular.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute– Visit the museum of HMI.

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park– The zoo has a rich collection of animals.

Tenzin and Gombu Rock– A huge natural rock where rock climbing training is given by HMIPattabong.

Tea Estate- one of the tea gardens of Darjeeling.

Peace Pagoda– A Japanese Temple and Buddhist Pagoda situated on top of the Hill which is famous for panoramic views of the surrounding.

Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park-Two beautiful parks.

Lamahatta- A small village and nature park popular for Ecotourism.

Mirik- A scenic Lake near Darjeeling Last but not least Darjeeling Mall.

The mall is the most happening place and the heart of the town. It is also a shopper’s paradise. If you are a shopaholic then do visit this place more than once.

KALIMPONG

It is another beautiful hill station of West Bengal located at the foothills of Himalaya. The place is mostly famous for orchids. In 3 days you will be able to visit the following tourist places of Kalimpong.

Morgan House- It is a British Colonial Bungalow which has been converted into a hotel run by West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation.

Army Golf Course– This is the famous golf course of Kalimpong and it is maintained bythe Indian Army.

Durpin Monastery– One of the most popular monasteries of Kalimpong.

Kalimpong Kali Mandir- A famous Hindu Shrinein Kalimpong dedicated to Goddess kali.

Orchid Nursery- While you are in Kalimpong don’t forget to visit the orchid nurserieshere.

Deolo Hill- Deolo is a beautiful hill and there is a well-manicured park on the topof this hill.

Lord Buddha Statue and Park- A picturesque garden and park on deolo hill.

Hanuman Temple- A famous Hindu Shrine and park on Deolo hill Goddess Durga Temple- Another beautiful templededicated to Goddess Durga.

Mangal Dham- A beautiful temple built in the memory of Shri Mangaldasji Maharaja.

Lava. Lolegaon & Rishop

Lava, Lolegaon, and Rishop are three beautiful villages of north Bengal where you will find serenity and nature. Here start your tour from
Lolegaon- It is a quiet hamlet. Visit the dhupi and cypress forests here. Also, see some rare orchids. Lava- The small picturesque village.
Neora Valley National Park- home to a largevariety of flora and fauna.
Lava Monastery- The famous Buddhist Monastery
Rishop- a small village on the hilltop and famous for stunning 360-degree views of asnow-covered Himalayan mountain.

DOOARS

Dooars is the foothill of Himalaya and the place is popular for scenic beauty. Since its is a huge region it is impossible to cover all the tourist places on a single tour. So we suggest that you cover the entire region in two different tour plans and here is the first one.
In this tour, we will mainly cover Buxa, Jayanti,Jhalong, Bindu, and Jaldhaka. Here, we suggest that you start your tour from Buxa.You can reach Bauxa either from New Jalpaigurior Bagdogra or you may directly reach Rajabhatkhawa railway station which is the nearest rail station of Buxa. In 3 days you will be able to visit the following tourist places.

Buxa Tiger Reserve- enjoy a safari inside the forest with Buxa Fort– A place of historical importance.

Jayanti river- A scenic place where you can also visit Mahakal caves and Take a tour of this dense forest and enjoy nature.

In this 2nd tour, we will mainly cover Murti, Samsing, Suntalekhola, Gorumara Reserve forest,and Jaldapara Reserve forest. Here start your tour from Murti. You can reach Murti either from New Jalpaiguri or Bagdograor you may directly reach Chalsa railway station which is the nearest to Murti.In 3 days you will be able to visit the following tourist places.

Suntalekhola- A beautiful quiet village popular for scenic beauty.

Rocky Island- Another scenic spot beside the river.
