Gorumara National Park

Among the all National Park In West Bengal, it’s a most popular one. Gorumara National Park is located in Dooars. It’s a part of the north side of West Bengal and covered by grasslands and forests. This park is located in front of the Murti river and Raidak river. Most attractive wildlife sanctuaries in West Bengal. Ministry of Environment and Forests has been announced the best-protected area in India for the year 2009. In 1895 Government declared as a Reserve Forest and Wildlife Sanctuary since 1949.

Mammals :
This park is famous for Indian rhinos, Asian elephant, chital, sambar deer, spotted dear, gaur and bear, etc. Few of Bengal Tigers and big cat-like Leopard were spotted here but occasionally.

Asian Paradise flycatchers, Indian hornbill, woodpeckers, spangled drongo, and pheasants, etc.

Trains available from Sealdah to Mal junction, Chalsa, and New maynaguri. Saraighat and Kanchankanya express are daily available from Sealdah station.
Then hire a cab for Murti Riverbank. Murti is the entrance gate of the Gorumara forest.

JALDAPARA NATIONAL PARK
Jaldapara National Park (formerly Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary) was established in 1941 for the reserving Indian One-horned rhinoceros. The government declared a national park on May in the year of 2012. Its situated foothills of Eastern Himalayas in Alipurduar District of northern West Bengal and the nearest riverbank is Torsa River. This forest mainly covered by savannah with tall grasses. Elephant safari is very famous in Jaldapara National Park. The area of land managed to conserve wildlife.

Buxa Tiger Reserve

Buxa tiger reserve was established in 1938 as the 15th tiger reserve in India. It ranges from 200 ft in the Gangetic plains to 570 ft bordering the Himalayas in North and closed from Bhutan. Eastern boundary touched the Assam State. The Phibsoo Wildlife sanctuary of Bhutan and Manas National Park thus serves international corridor for Aian elephant. Inside the Buxa tiger reserve have 37 village and their source of income comes from non-timber forest products. One of the best natural preserve in West Bengal.
The Historic Buxa Fort and a sacred temple Mahakaleswher Jyotirlinga have in this reserve forest.

BEST NATIONAL PARK IN WEST BENGAL
One of the BEST NATIONAL PARK IN WEST BENGAL.It’s a combination of the national parks, tiger reserve, and biosphere reserve in West Bengal, India. This reserve forest covered by mangrove forests and one of the largest tiger reserve forests for Royal Bengal Tiger. This reserve forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On 4 may in the year of 1984 it was established a national park. This forest allowed as a man and biosphere reserve from 1989. The minimum and maximum temperatures are 20-48 C. During May-October cyclones, heavy rainfall and storm are very common incidents in sundarban. The local people have been killed by the tiger last 5 years. It’s the continuous common conflict man vs tiger therefore people are called Bengal Tiger as a “Man Hitter”. Best season to visit November to March.
