These two places are popular for tea plantations and the overwhelming scenic beauty of the Himalayan Mountains. During this time, you can get a clear sky in this region and can enjoy the beauty of the magnificent Himalayan Mountain to its fullest. June to September is monsoon here and during this time the mountain looks beautiful and greener but rain or land slide may interrupt your tour plan. In this tour plan, we will start from Kurseong. Your tour, go for a sightseeing tour around Kurseong. Kurseong is a lesser-known small town near Darjeeling spread along the mountain slopes. At this place, you can see vast tea plantations, some picturesque viewpoints, lush green forests and of course, calm and quiet nature .
Eagle Crag(Netaji Kothi) :
It is a beautiful viewpoint inside a park and it is the highest point on this mountain. There is also a beautiful garden inside this park and you can see a reach collection of the flower there. It is peaceful place to visit therefore famous for young couples. Next visit Dow Hill Park.
Dow Hill Park :
Dow hill is one of the many hills along which the town is spread. On top of this hill there lies this park which was formerly known as Deer Park.
Due to deforestation, the number of deer have decreased and hence the place changed its name to Dow Hill Park. But still, you can see a few deer in the adjacent forest region of the park. From Dow Hill Park go to another view point Giddapahar viewpoint.You can get a breath-taking view of the surrounding mountain peaks including Kanchenjunga. The Giddapahar view point visit the famous Makaibari Tea estate. This is one of the oldest tea estates of the region and produces the finest varieties of tea.
What to eat in Kurseong, Kurseong is a place where you must taste the famous tea of this region. For having an unforgettable tea tasting experience you should visit the famous tea lounge of the place Margaret’s Deck. Other than tasting the exotic tea and momo here you can also enjoy the surreal beauty of the surrounding mountains from this place.
Best Time to Visit :
The best time to visit Kurseong is from October to May. Temperature in kurseong is very pleasant in this time.

There are many hotels and Home stay available in Kurseong . Room charges is change due to hospitality. you will get budged hotels in kurseong Rs 1600 to Rs 2500.Home Stay Charge for Rs.1000 to 1500 per day/person including foods and stay.
How to Reach :
You can be reached by train,bus and air. The nearest railway station of this hill station is New Jalpaiguri and the nearest airport is Bagdogra. You will get a shared or reserved cab to reach Kurseong from NJP and Bagdogra . By bus, you can reach up to Siliguri and from there can avail cab to reach the hill station. Here, a reserved cab will charge nearly Rs 3000 for this trip and a shared cab will charge around Rs 500 per person for this trip. It will take around 3 hours to reach Kurseong from NJP or Bagdogra by car.
