COLOMBO TRAVELING STORY
COLOMBO SRI LANKA TRAVEL
Our fourth day in Sri Lanka, the last day of this trip
Our fourth day in Sri Lanka, the last day of this trip. After waking up in the morning, after spending no time doing any special work, we spent time on the river and the adjoining lawn of the resort, then gradually got ready and headed for Colombo. Today, on our way, we arrived in Colombo within just a couple of hours, and we decided not to turn around in the sunshine in the afternoon, rather than checking in at the hotel, we would go to Colombo in the afternoon with some rest.
Accordingly, we checked in at the hotel at half past noon, but before checking in, we drive along the road along Marine Drive in Colombo for a while and then reached the hotel.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we freshened it up and had lunch in the room. After a couple of hours of sleep, he called our charioteer Shanta at exactly four in the afternoon and said that he was ready to go out, just as we were ready to come downstairs. Shanta was already waiting for us at the hotel reception.
Most Attraction in Colombo :
We then drive by car to Independence Square, Dutch Hospital, Marine Drive and the wholesale market there. A Garden Ideal for Morning Walk in Independence Square, here people walk in the morning and in the afternoon, with lots of trees around. Very pleasant environment where you can spend hours after hours sitting. The Dutch Hospital is basically a castle built by the Dutch where the hospital has now been converted. It is very beautiful to see this fort built with outstanding architecture in a part of the castle. On the way back to Premadasa Stadium, Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground, we saw a spectacular place with a cricket museum outside the Sinhalese Sports Club where equipment used by various cricketers is kept for public viewing, including jerseys, bats used by the 1998 World Cup winning Sri Lankan cricket team.
Then we went to Colombo Sea Beach. I could see the construction of the seaport in the Chinese-occupied sea was under intense pressure. We spent up to seven in the evening on the beach. Our last evening in Sri Lanka witnessed a great sunset, then slowly.
Back at the hotel, we slowly packed our luggage because we have to check out by five in the morning. Tomorrow to leave for the airport. Then for dinner we decided to have a hotel rooftop restaurant located on the 11th floor. We were on the roof of the hotel till about eleven o’clock at night, reminiscing about the last four days, when we could not understand when our tour was coming to an end.
The hospitality and guidance of the whole of Sri Lanka, and especially of peace, is by no means Bhola. Thus ended our fourth day, we had to leave the hotel for the airport as soon as it was dark on the fifth day.
Then on the fifth day, as usual, at four-thirty in the morning, Shanta’s wake-up call woke us up and we started our journey towards the airport. Arriving at the airport within an hour, we said goodbye to Shanta and returned with this commitment.
All good things end sometimes, just like our tour of Sri Lanka ended, the mental fuel we were able to muster through this tour, hopefully we will be able to rely on those juices until we go on the next tour.
With a heavy heart we proceeded slowly towards the check-in counter, for the time being the destination is Colombo to Chennai and from there again the Kolkata flight after the layover, all in all we will reach Kolkata by 5:30 pm.
Just like I said before, let’s come to the cost details:
